 11.28.06 SPECIAL EDITION INFOMAN: We hope you guys had a great and relaxing Thanksgiving with your family, we really wanted to get this email out to you before the holiday weekend but due to everyones schedules it just didn’t work out. We still wanted all the Warriors Worldwide to see this letter from Sonny that went out to the Street Team on Tuesday the day of the Greatest Hits Release. Dear Warriors, Today is the day! As you know P.O.D. has been around for a long time. From abandoned houses in San Diego to breaking second story floors in Virginia Beach. From Detroit Gymnasiums to Condemned buildings down in New Orleans. We’ve even played in some of your backyards and slept on your kitchen floors. We’ve played on the back of semi truck beds in Las Cruces to The Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois. We’ve hung out in Denny’s or any other late night diner till 4 or 5 in the morning after a show. We’ve smashed up ceilings down at The Refuge in St. Petersburg, Florida to camping in tents at Tomfest. We packed out The Pterodactyl Club in Atlanta after eating a home cooked meal from our friend Barbara, the Concert Mom. We broke down in too many cities to name having to stay with you a little longer than planned. We’ve driven from San Diego straight to Miami to play in front of 25 people. We played back to back shows at a small coffee shop in Cleveland, Ohio just to fit everybody in while it was snowing outside. By the time we would reach Birmingham, Alabama someone was always sick only to be healed by the energy of packed out warehouse called The Crush. We’ve played too many skate parks to count. The one that stands out the most was in Little Rock, Arkansas with Living Sacrifice because it was the hottest, nastiest inside show we’ve ever played. GOOD TIMES! Bartlesville, Oklahoma might not be the biggest city on the map but every time we played The Warehouse for Tim Cook, you Warriors showed up in FULL FORCE. We’ve played juvenile detention centers to orphanages and even played acoustic sets when we couldn’t make any loud noise. We played in front of thousands to a handful of people. We played with so many amazing bands. If I were to write every story or memory it would probably fill the pages of a book. Maybe someday? We’ve made a lot of friends and Family on the road. All of these incredible memories and all of this before we signed to Atlantic Records. We were a band with real friends, real fans, real struggles, real hustles and real Blessings. We were a Real Band before Atlantic and we will continue to be a Real Band after. Today we release our Greatest Hits Record, “The Atlantic Years.” We our truly grateful for the years we spent on Atlantic Records. I still remember the day Wuv, Traa, Marcos and I signed the contracts. It had to be one of the best moments of my Life. I’m sure the guys would agree. Atlantic Records gave us the opportunity to go to the next level. We will be forever honored to have been a part of the Music Legacy that Atlantic Records has built. We have met too many amazing people at Atlantic to mention. They know who they are. Today marks a turning point towards the future. We’re in the process of a new deal and we are writing at the moment. We plan to record in January 2007. So many life changing things have happened in the past couple of weeks. We are excited for the days ahead. I can honestly say that there is an excitement going around the P.O.D. Camp right now that we can’t wait to share with you soon. As always, words can’t express how we feel for all you guys. Thank You once again. Much Love to all the past street team members who have busted their butts putting it down for The Warrior Movement. Thank You to all the new members. Welcome to the Family! You have big shoes to fill. I know you guys are already doing it big! Do what you need to do. Please keep spreading the word. Go out and get the record! We have dedicated the past 14 years of our lives into what I believe is Bigger than all of us. I am honored to be a part of P.O.D. This record contains songs that were created out of Love, Passion, Pain, Loyalty, Faith and a desire to Inspire people with our music. This record is a Unity of five Hearts and Souls into one. I am forever humbled and blessed to have shared these moments in time with four guys who I can truly call my Friends. Wuv, Traa, Marcos and Truby.
