Dakoda Motor Co. at Cornerstone!

Dakoda Motor Co. at Cornerstone!

…We hope!

Dakoda Motor Co. really wants to play Cornerstone, but the band needs your help!

Because DMC is unsigned (no label), and has been that way for about a decade, the band has applied to play at Cornerstone through the New Band Showcase.

Over a hundred bands have applied, but only 16 will be chosen to play the New Band Showcase. And you, the fans, have a say in who plays! Go to http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/ and vote for Dakoda Motor Co.!

The top 10 vote-getting bands will play the New Band Showcase Stage, and the band getting the most votes will play the Main Stage. The last six bands will be selected by a panel of “industry insiders”. You can vote for a total of 10 bands, but only one vote per band.

So go vote, and tell all your friends to do the same!

Thanks,
DMC

American Idol Contenders Make Christian Music News

As the competition heats up on FOX’s “American Idol,” watched weekly by 30 million Americans, GMAil has asked Tricia Whitehead, GMA’s indie publicist and self-described Idol fanatic, to provide weekly updates following the AIers with gospel music connections.

“American Idol” moved to the big stage this week and GMA’s favorite contestants - Melinda Doolittle, Chris Sligh and Jordin Sparks - continue to shine. All three contestants were voted through to next week after performing Tuesday during Diana Ross theme night. The theme for the next Tuesday will be the British Invasion.   This week we add Phil Stacey (below) to the list of AI contestants with gospel music connections since learning he is the minister of music at First Coast Christian in Jacksonville, Fla., and, according to his MySpace page is currently doing graduate work at dc Talk’s alma mater, Liberty University. Phil also advanced to the next week, although he was in the bottom three vote-getters for the 28 million votes cast this week. GMA is not alone in supporting our Idols. Michael W. Smith, via his Web site (www.michaelwsmith.com) is reminding his fans to vote for Jordin, who was a singer on Smitty’s Christmastime tours in 2005 and 2006. Music City has taken a shine to Melinda who is a Belmont grad. The local Fox affiliate, Fox 17, has been following her on AI. Chris’ church, Seacoast Church in Greenville, S.C., has been having weekly AI parties to cheer on their worship leader.

Dale for President

Hello folks,

Forgive me for intruding with something political but I need your vote. You are on this list because at one time you or someone that you know signed you up to receive information about Bride. Well this email is not about Bride.
Rather it is about my Presidential run for the White House and how you can be a part.

Some of you are already receiving my political emails once a week so I apologize if you are receiving this for the second or third time.

Those of you who have not heard about my campaign I would first invite you to visit www.myspace.com/philipdalethompson so that you know what issues I am addressing. I will be posting a more detailed and comprehensive Platform in the next few days.

But the main reason that I am intruding on you is because there is a web site that is collecting votes early as a way to gauge early results.

It would mean the world to me and send out a message to the Political world if you could cast a vote for me.

Go to www.politicsone.blogspot.com and cast your vote for P. Dale Thompson under the Constitution Party heading.

I believe in “The Constitution, freedom, and limited government!”

I possess a genuine devotion to God and country, if there is one man who is willing to stand for the “Constitution, freedom, and limited government,” that man is me.
I believe that there is an Almighty, Everlasting, Omniscient, God — the God of the Bible — Who is active in the affairs of men.
Our rights, including our right to life, liberty and property come from Him.  It is the purpose of government to secure, protect and defend these God-given rights.

If you would like to keep up with the happenings of the Dale Thompson for President 2008 Campaign, send me an email and request to be put on the “Update List” and I will gladly keep you informed. Otherwise I will  not intrude with this information again seeing that you have not requested it.

Thank you for your vote,

Dale
