November is the perfect month to start an alternative Christian music festival outside Savannah, GA

The Savanna Morning News reports that the First Baptist Church of Rincon, Georgia has its first annual Christian music festival planned for next Saturday. Artists include: Mel Washington Band, IRONY9, The Family, Remidee, This Rock, K.O.S., Church Boi, Ashes of an Empire, Bella, JP Rock, Cheryl Burgess and Arise Awaken.

Guest speakers include Penatello, young adult Sunday school teacher Philip “Pip” Knight and Savannah tattoo parlor owner Dave Oldham.

Festival orginator Steve Penatello is seeking a certain vibe, “”like Woodstock but without the nasty.” The hope is that the event, called the Ingathering, “grows into a Southern rendition of the Cornerstone Festival, an annual music event in central Illinois that draws more than 300 bands and tens of thousands of fans.”
