Katy and I are helping to put on a concert in Kansas City (technically it’s in Grandview) that you or someone you know should be interested in. The line-up is a can’t-miss for anyone who pretends to like music: Mike Roe, Michael Miller, Terry Taylor (with his son, Andrew) and Steve Hindalong on percussion. Roe and Miller, in fact, are both touring in support of new CDs.

Project 86 returns with their 7th installment PICKET FENCE CARTEL. This is a guitar-driven, post-hardcore triumph which is sure to delight old-school followers along with newcomers alike. Tracks such as “Destroyer” and “A John Hancock with the Safety Off” are as potent as anything the band has released to date. And “Dark Angel Dragnet” demonstrates that the band can deliver a genuine hook wihtout compromising intensity. After thirteen years as a band, P86 proves once again that they are a force to be reckoned with. Overall the band does what it does best on this release: deliver intense emotion and powerful dynamics with their one-of-a-kind sound.
