Hi, y’all!

It’s a great week to be an A-lister…let’s face it — it’s always a great week to be an A-lister! We have some special Ashley news and “treats” for you. Here we go…

Webcast! Ashley, Kenny, and the band will be performing a 40 minute set at 12th and Porter (Nashville) for The Billy Block Show this Tuesday, September 22 at 10pm (CT)/11pm (ET). If you can’t make it to 12th and Porter, don’t fret — the concert will be webcast live!

Ashley will be performing in Alabama and Illinois through the week. Please visit the website or click on the links on the left for date specific info. Thanks!

Maybe you’ve never seen AC in concert, or perhaps it’s been a few years and you’re itching to see her again…or you may have seen her perform recently, but you would like to relive the moment. Well, you’re gonna love this: We’ve uploaded SIX — that’s right, SIX! — new, live videos to Ashley’s YouTube account! The videos feature Ashley, Kenny, and drummer Craig Krampf (Big Town, Melissa Etheridge). If you have a YouTube account, please leave positive comments and feedback, and share the videos with your friends. Thanks in advance! Here are direct links to each tune:

A great big, huge congrats to Ashley, Kenny, and everyone who participated in the making of God Don’t Never Change – it has been nominated for a Nammy Award for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Album of the Year. The winners of the 2009 Nashville Music Awards will be announced October 7th. Best wishes, Ashley!

If you still haven’t purchased a copy of God Don’t Never Change, now will be a good time because you can take advantage of this special offer: September is National Addiction Recovery Month. In recognition of this we’re offering a free SHARE CD for each purchase between now and September 30 (mp3 downloads are excluded from this offer). This 18 track compilation disc includes Ashley’s version of “Needle And The Damage Done.”  Additional artists include Russ Taff, George Jones, Martina McBride, and Marshall Chapman, all with songs reflecting on “What it was like, what  happened and what it’s like now.” Please enter the appropriate cart to shop: US/INT, CDN.

In addition to the A-list, the best way to keep up with breaking news about Ashley is via twitter and Facebook. Those links also appear in the left-hand column.

Well, that’s it for now. I’ll leave you with this: “He who sings scares away his woes.” — Cervantes.

Write me if you get the urge.

Peace,

Rose

U2 posts videos from their just-begun North American Tour

U2’s 360° Tour opened in North America this past weekend and we’ve posted a series of very fine live clips. Catch ” Vertigo” from the opening night in Chicago and the first ever performance of ” Your Blue Room” from the second show.

If you’ve been to the show you’ll have seen the amazing reception for the remix version of ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’ - when Larry circumnavigates the stage playing the djemba. ‘Crazy’ is now on release and you can hear - and download - that remix, and a bunch of others, here.

If you’ve been to the opening North American shows why not visit our newly launched tour area and add your reviews and photos.

With the tour heading out across North America over the next six weeks, a whole range of cool merchandise has just arrived in the U2.com Store. Shirts, hoodies, bags, badges… take a look.

If you enjoy meeting up with other fans in our 24/7 community area Zootopia, we’re pleased to say that it’s getting a makeover later this week. But it also means that while work is being done to iron out functionality issues and generally make life easier, Zootopia will be offline this Friday, 18th September, from about 12am PT / 3am ET - 6am PT/ 9am ET in the US - or 8am to 2pm GMT in Europe.

Last up, if you’ve got a Blackberry smartphone, you might like to know that you can now start following the tour with the ‘U2 Mobile Album’. It’s pretty cool, read all about it here.

That’s it for now, enjoy the site - and here’s a big hint…. you might want to check back on U2.com in the next few days for some pretty exciting news! (Our lips are sealed…)

Best Wishes
The U2.com Team
